Most babies’ and children’s milestones are exciting ones – their first word, first step, when they learn to feed themselves. But there’s one milestone many parents dread: toilet training.

Toilet training usually takes place between about age 2 and 3 ½. Before this age, children aren’t really able to tell when they need to go to the toilet.
