Best foot forward
Frequent visitors to the gym are far from the only people who suffer from athlete's foot - in fact, tinea is often an occupational hazard. 'We have a lot of people around here working on the water, and salmon farming is a major employer, so there's definitely a lot of people with moist feet,' says Claudia Pulko, 2011 Tasmanian Pharmacy Assistant of the Year, from Dover Pharmacy. 'People are in wet boots all day, and most wear very thick sorts of work socks, so the feet get very sweaty and damp and they're in that hot, humid environment for hours.'

No more flaky foundation
A smooth, matte foundation finish is back - but does it flatter everyone? Yes, says Brooke Leotta, beauty advisor at Terry White Chemist Brookside, in Mitchelton, Queensland - but women older than 30 need to take a few precautions to make sure their base ends up flawless, not flaky. "We don't want to look shimmery this summer" says Brooke. "At the moment, people like the matte finish with just a bit of highlighter at the top of the cheekbone".
