Natio’s training manager, Linda Riddell, has also passed on a couple of effective beauty secrets, passed from mother to daughter, which have stood the test of time. ‘Firstly, remove your makeup before bed; while many of us may wash our faces, we tend to rush,’ she says. ‘Thoroughly remove makeup, oil, dirt and dead skin cells by cleansing with your fingertips for between 30 seconds to 1 minute in small circular motions.

‘Secondly, be sure to include your neck and décolletage when moisturising: take a few extra moments to smooth moisturiser on to this exposed area with light, upward motions to help hydrate, protect and reduce the signs of ageing.

‘Finally, don’t forget your beauty sleep; sleep is restorative and gives our body and skin time to go through a renewal process. A good night’s sleep promotes cell turnover, gives the skin a chance to repair from environmental stressors and helps increase the efficiency of your skincare.’

Frostbland

This Mother’s Day White Satin Hand Therapy kits and Soap Chests ($12.95 to $14.95) look after hands. White Satin launched in 1984 and is best known for its floral, green and musk notes. The hand therapy kits come with a hand and nail cream and a nail file, while the soap chest has three perfumed soaps housed in a trinket chest.
