Meet the team

Megan Haggan has worked in industry magazines since 1994 and pharmacy journalism since 1999, including six years as editor of Post Script magazine. After having two children, she worked as a freelance journalist for health, lifestyle, parenting, industry and local news magazines, and has now returned to Australian Pharmaceutical Publishing as editor of PSi. She enjoys cooking, listening to swing music, reading about language, economics, sociology and history, and playing computer games.

Former model Emma-Charlotte Bangay has been working in magazines since she was 19 -- as fashion assistant and beauty editor at New Idea, beauty editor at Marie Claire, beauty and lifestyle editor at SHE Magazine, additionaly she was health and lifestyle editor at Women's Day. Since 2004 she's been freelancing for everything from Sunday Life magazine and SHOP till you drop to Cosmopolitan Pregnancy, Emporium Magazine and Fitness First. Emma is religious about yoga, enjoys swimming and running, visits galleries once a week and collects Penguin Classics.

Sunny de Bruyn has been writing about health, relationships and parenting for almost a decade. As a mother of two small children she has a particular interest in issues relating to parenting, pregnancy and maternal health. Sunny has lived in both South Africa and Belgium and now calls Sydney home.

Lea Philpott has worked in the health and beauty industry for the past seven years. She manages the website www.beautyheaven.com.au and has written on a broad range of topics spanning health and wellbeing, beauty, lifestyle and parenting. A Pilates devotee for the past decade, Lea is interested in ways to bring a greater sense of balance to an ever-increasingly hectic lifestyle, and enjoys yoga, beach runs and walks, and meditation.

Holistic nutritionist and founder of Be Genki, a beauty and self-care brand that's friendly to animals and the environment, Samantha Sample has also written Be Happy. Be Healthy. Be Genki. and has contributed to websites including Pamper Guru for NineMSN, The Green Dove and SpringDay. She's also created www.benaturallyou.com, a natural beauty resource. Sam is a vegan, a dog lover, a keen gardener and loves travelling and practicing Zen Ki yoga.

Jayamala Gupte is a pharmacy journalist with 10 years' experience working for Post Script, the Australian Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacy News. She writes the Front of Shop pages in PS, reviewing all the new product launching into pharmacy - and she's also a former pharmacy assistant, having spent three years at the coalface in a forward pharmacy in Sydney's Wahroonga. She has two teenage children and enjoys getting involved with her local community and kids' school activities, and her hobbies are painting with ceramics and reading historical novels, one day hoping to write her own.

Janet Doyle has worked in journalism since 1997 on a range of consumer titles in the UK. After emigrating to Australia in the late 90s, she edited several consumer and pharmacy titles. She joined the Australian Pharmaceutical Publishing in 2007 as the current associate editor of the Australian Journal of Pharmacy and is one of the judges of the Pharmacy Assistant of the Year awards. An animal lover and owner of two dogs and two chickens, Janet also loves to tandem hangglide, given the opportunity!
